Do our pets have a soul and do they go to heaven?

I think dogs (and other pets) go to heaven, the night my fluffy died he woke me up with his little legs going and a smile on his face, I don't know what he was seeing because he was seeing that spiritual realm that our flesh eyes can't see. But he was definitely headed somewhere and was happy about it. I think sometimes our pets see with their spiritual eyes more then we do, they are not as caught up with flesh things the way we are so they are more open to the spiritual dimension. I think these verses show that their will be animals in heaven. But their eating habits will be changed in their spirit bodies from what they are in the flesh.
The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them.
(Isa 11:6)
The wolf and the lamb shall feed together, and the lion shall eat straw like the bullock: and dust shall be the serpent's meat. They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain, saith the LORD.
(Isa 65:25)
This next verse shows me that there will be horses in heaven...
Rev 19:11 And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.
This word creature in these following verses is the word H5315 in the Strong's Hebrew dictionary.

Gen 1:21 And God created great whales, and every living creature that moveth, which the waters brought forth abundantly, after their kind, and every winged fowl after his kind: and God saw that it was good.
What makes them a "living creature" ?
Gen 2:7 And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.
The word soul in the above verse is also from the Hebrew word nephesh.

I will always remembe, when a much loved dog of mine died some years ago and a woman told me that 'dogs don't have souls and so will not go to heaven'. It was the way she said too that hurt as much as what she said. There was such a lack of compassion for my feelings and it was like losing my poor dog all over again. I'd like to think I will see my pets again cos I can't envisage a heaven without animals, but I really don't know what to believe.
